Fall Dinner
Blessed Sacrament hosts this annual event on one Sunday in October. It is a day filled with a delicious homemade meal including a variety of desserts! We need volunteers to help in the kitchen with preparations, serving or cleaning up afterward; also, we need help in the dessert room to cut and plate the wonderful baked goods. Parishioners are also asked to contribute canned vegetables, cool whip and other food items that are used for the meal. Watch our weekly bulletin for Fall Dinner / Bazaar news. If you have questions or are interested in volunteering, contact Julie Yourczek at 701-282-3321 or JULIE@BSCWF.ORG
Churches United for the Homeless (CUH)
On the FOURTH and FIFTH Thursday of the month, we prepare and serve the evening meal for residents at Churches United for the Homeless (CUH) in Moorhead. The time commitment is from 4:00 – 7:15 p.m. We cook the meal here at Blessed Sacrament and take it to CUH to be served. Contact Julie Yourczek if you have questions or are interested in volunteering to feed our brothers and sisters in need, 701-282-3321 or JULIE@BSCWF.ORG
Soup & More
This is a Thursday night meal, free of charge on the SECOND and FOURTH Thursday of the Month. A main dish or soup & sandwich, vegetable, salad and dessert are served. Parishioners may be asked to provide a dessert. Watch the weekly bulletin and monthly calendar for dates. Six or more volunteers are needed to cook, serve and clean up. Time commitment (excluding cooks) is from 5-6:30 p.m. For more details contact Julie Yourczek at 701-282-3321 or JULIE@BSCWF.ORG
Thanksgiving Dinner
For more than 40 years, Blessed Sacrament has served Thanksgiving Dinner to the surrounding community! A free homemade Thanksgiving Dinner is provided for those who would otherwise be alone for the holiday. A large crew is needed to cook, serve, clean up, and make deliveries. Some say, “It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without dinner at Blessed Sacrament”. Parishioners are also asked to contribute frozen turkeys, canned vegetables, cool whip, desserts and other food items that are used for this holiday meal. Watch our weekly bulletin for Thanksgiving Dinner news. If you have questions or are interested in volunteering, contact Julie Yourczek at 701-282-3321 or JULIE@BSCWF.ORG
